OUR CATTLE
Cows
Our angus cattle herd was started over 30 years ago by my grandfather, Hugo Real, when he transitioned from the original hereford operation that began in the 1930s.
Fast forward to today, we have excellent registered angus sires that bring desirable maternal and terminal characteristics. Angus are exceptional mothers and tend their calves very well.
The cows live in a stress-free environment that includes grazing on large, rotated pastures and water supplied by real, working windmills.
Bulls
Our wagyu bulls are 100% full-blood bulls. The purest form of registered American wagyu.
Our first wagyu bull, "Mr. Yasufuku" FB43900, is a descendant from lineages located in the Kobe Prefecture in Japan. He recently is ranked 2nd in Proven Marbling among fullblood red/black sires in the American Wagyu Association.

Our newest addition, "Mr. Shigeshigetani" FB88286, though a younger bull, is now siring his own herd. His lineage will place the finished product in the top 1% of expected marbling, inter- muscular fat, and tenderness. We anxioulsly await the offspring of this new addition.
Steers & Heifers
Our terminal wagyu steers and heifers are raised on grass, weaned on hay, and finished on natural grains for one year. One of the main ingredients is used brewers grain. Their feed consists of all natural ingredients and they are raised without any growth hormones.
Steers and heifers are terminated at a Texas certified butcher that dry ages the beef for 14-21 days.
Each steer and heifer have been genetically tested by the American Wagyu Association to insure a wagyu content of 47% or greater.
