About
HILL COUNTRY WAGYU
RW Ranch
KERRVILLE, TEXAS
Raising Cattle Responsibly Since 1856
Our family ranch was established in 1856 by Caspar Real who saw the beauty in Kerr County and was attracted to natural springs the land offered. He started raising cattle, sheep and goats. Our family has continued the tradition of raising cattle for over 5 generations. A portion of the angus females are direct descendants of my grandfather's herd.
We strive to ethically raise cattle that are naturally conceived, raised on grass, finished on grain and raised in a stress-free environment. Our grazing pastures are rotated to insure sustainability. We pride ourselves knowing that our cattle are free of growth hormones and consume only natural feeds ensuring a quality beef product from our ranch to your table.
Our Story
Hill Country Wagyu
Hill Country Wagyu was established in 2020 when we decided to upgrade our angus herd's genetics to gain more marbling, tenderness, and flavor in the finished product. Our first wagyu bull is genetically sired from the same linages as herds in the Prefecture of Japan as Kobe beef. We crossed him with our angus cattle to bring the perfect blend of beef that excels in flavor and just the right tenderness, not too rich and not too lean. We are excited to bring this delicious beef from our ranch to your family's table!
